Specification

Due to the nature of the car there is no such thing as a 'standard'
V8. Originally based on the SEiW, the car has evolved in a number of
areas. Here is a summary of typical specifications:

Weight: 1450-1630lbs (later cars have cats, more luxurious interiors &c)
Fuel tank: 6.0-11.0 gallons
ENGINE:
Layout: V8, 3500cc - 5300cc
Construction: All aluminium, dry liners
Valve gear: OHV, 2 per cylinder
Power: 150HP-400HP
Torque: 200ftlb-400ftlbs
TRANSMISSION:
Gearbox: 5 speed manual (Rover SD1, Borg Warner T5, or Rover R380)
Differential: 7" or 7.5" Ford Sierra, typically 3.38, 3.62 or 3.92
SUSPENSION:
Front: Double wishbones, coil springs/dampers
Rear: Double wishbones, coil springs/dampers
Adjustable for camber and toe all round.
BRAKES:
Front: discs, vented on some models
Rear: discs
Hydraulics: No servo, dual circuit, F/R split
WHEELS & TYRES:
Alloy wheels
Tyres typically 225/50/15 rear, 205/50/15 front
BODYWORK
First factory demonstrator and some customer cars had the rear arches integral with the body while later cars had detachable rear arches.
First factory demonstrator and a lot of customer cars had swept wings. Later cars had cycle wings.
Early cars had a plain nose cone while later models have a ducted nose cone which
directs air out of the back of the radiator and over the bonnet.
